Ever did a car configuration online before placing an order? If not, here’s something to take into consideration…COLORS in the visualizer don’t turn up the same 9/10 (exterior paint, wheels etc…). So before you choose, I suggest looking up real photos online, or even try to see one in person. This almost happened to me twice (almost ordered the wrong shade of gray on the CLS 63)

On that one time happening to me, a few months ago, while configurating a 2022 Porsche Macan. I wanted to go with all black on black, but unfortunately, the 20 inch “Macan S” wheels did not come in gloss black.
The darkest shade it came with was the “Vesuvius Gray”, which almost looks black in the configurator.
Another option I chose, was the Sport Tailpipes, in black. And so the order was placed…

On the delivery day, went to the Porsche for the pick up and there she was…a complete different look than what I expected. The “Vesuvius Gray” wheels color were a very light shade of gray in matte. The tailpipes looked chrome, not black. I pointed that out, and the salesman said that this is black. He showed me another Macan with the chrome pipes, which just stood out more in chrome…but that’s no “BLACK” tailpipe.

I hated it, and had to immediately take it to a shop to repaint the wheels in gloss black, calipers in gloss red, and a 50% tint all around. Kept the tails…for now. Here’s the After shots below.
