My sisters car, but and spec’d to order by me…so shared? Black exterior with Burgundy Red interior, belts and speed gauge. Twin sport black tailpipes, and matt blacked out emblems. I chose the 20″ Macan S wheels in Vesuvius Gray, which looked very dark in the configurator. In reality, the wheels were much lighter and just looked wrong. Immediately, had them repainted to Gloss Black + the calipers in Gloss Red…because why not.

During the configuration, I opted out on the active suspension feature (PASM), because why would my sister even care ha ha. I sigh each time i see the wheel gap now…there’s always lowering spring option without the need of PASM. H&R 1.5″ lowering springs…

I’ve opted out on the PASM system (suspension system), as I’ve tried that on a Cayenne Coupe Turbo and did not see any performance or handling difference. The only drawback your left with is an ugly wheel to fender gap, but there’s way easier & cheaper solutions to get that ride height sorted. First of all, with the PASM, you get a 10mm drop (about 0.4″), which is unnoticeable. For the no PASM Macans, you can go with Fixed Lowering Springs, or Coilovers. The Lowering springs from H&R (1.5″ drop) or Eibach (1″) already give more drop vs the PASM.

I decided to go with the H&R Sport Springs…but first! Another “stance-look” I always focus on is how the wheels sit from the fender. With the 20″ Macan S wheels, which are 20×9 (et26) & 20×10 (et19) on 265/295s isn’t that bad, but still not flush-enough. After lowering, that would become more noticeable.

To fix that, I got the Flat 6 Motorsport Wheel Spacer kit, including extended bolts. It’s a 10mm/12mm push, not too aggressive (some go with 15/15).

The results after lowering the Macan with the H&R Sport Springs 1.5″, and pushing out the wheels with the Flat 6 Motorsports Spacers 10mm/12mm. It gave a nice clean drop, and as you can see the rears looks way better. For the spacers, the wheels are now perfectly aligned with the fender, not too aggressive. I would probably go for 12mm fronts, and 15mm rear if you’re looking for a more aggressive look.

In terms of handling, I did notice a bit of improvement. All in all, very happy with the results. Here are a few photos, including before/after. **Note: Torque specs for the lugs = 118 ft-lbs
