Broken Shifter Cable – No gears engaged
Yet another common issue with H2s and H3s where the transmission shifter cable or bushings wear our or snap over time and use. The good news is that it’s an easy fix. The bad news is that you’re STUCK! The shifter loses tension and won’t hook into gear, won’t even trigger the gear indicator on the dash.
A genuine GM Lever Cable costs around $50 (15268403), and if it’s just broken bushings then $20 (TB1KIT4). That’s if you’re buying the parts, and not from Stealerships Ha Ha.
