After completing my LS swap, I was ready to focus on the interior refresh (Seats, console, trims etc…). So far all I have updated was the steering wheel & gauges, the rest was all original. The main issue with the original interior was not having a console, non-supportive seats, and 2-pt lap seat belts.
The seat & no console combo would throw my passenger onto me on quick corners ha ha…and the 2-pt belts kept giving me fines, because the street-cams don’t detect a shoulder strap.

Center Console
Starting off with the hard part. While there are many ready-made consoles for the 68 Camaro, all had the center pre-cut to fit the standard shifter location. Since I swapped the 4-speed Muncie to the 6-speed T56, the shifter was relocated further back, which means no consoles would fit.
I had to go custom, and luckily found a shop that offers custom consoles & dash panels for many first gen muscles–> Classic Truck Consoles. I chose the “Rally Console & Dash” that comes in fiberglass, and no cuts. You also have options to order items, such as cups and console storage. That was the best option, as you’re free to cut & customize your console/dash to your liking. First, all I had to do was cut the console center to fit the shifter, and cup holder. Also, cut the dash panel for the AC/Mp3. Next, went with black leather vinyl and red stitching to fit my custom TMI seats

Custom Seats
The seats are easy to replace with many options. TMI products are the best out there. Instead of going with complete new seats, I decided to get the Sport R Upholstery with the Sport Foams (fronts only) and had the seats customized to Black leather , Suede black mid-section, and red stitching. Honestly a huge difference in comfort!!

Seat Belts
Went with Morris Classics 3-point belts, which can be semi-customized. For color, I went with Red #2007, and the buckle with the GM push button. They also have bracket options for stock seats and TMI seats, which I got (the 6.5″). It took a little work on having them installed, mainly finding the right way to drill the ends on the original headliner without damaging the look. (For a 5% Discount, use code “CELINE”)

Other Misc. Upgrades
Minor updates replacing the factory chrome parts, such as the window cranks and door lock to black. For the window cranks, I got the Lokar Midnight Series Cranks (XIDH-2014). The door locks with Eddie Motorsports billet (MS274-19BA).
